The Shambhala teachings allow us to touch our tender hearts and vividly experience our world. The Office of Social Engagement is focused on providing resources to better understand how practitioners and our community can work on very deeply entrenched work such as:
- Develop Inclusivity Warrior training for Shambhalians to embody cultural humility and incorporate these warriors at major programs
- Initiate a People of Color (POC) Council to support the programming, funding and leadership initiatives for POC
- Incorporating intersectionality into the navigation of past and current harm in our community
- Allow the richness of our teaching provide the space to have conversations on race, sexuality, violence, gender and many more aspects to the human experience
